I used this toxic-free shampoo and my hair feels better with no buildup and less itchiness after continued use.
I tried this non-toxic shampoo and conditioner; initially faced buildup and itchy scalp, but with time and conditioner, my hair feels healthier with no residue and reduced itching, and the company's service amazed me.
This is a review from Amazon.com about product:
Puriya Tea Tree Clarifying Shampoo. Plant Rich Dry Itchy Scalp Relief, for Kids, Adults, Sulfate Free, No Harsh Chemicals Seen in Dandruff Treatment, Seborrheic Dermatitis, Psoriasis Shampoo, 16 oz

After buying their Wonder Balm, I figured I would try the shampoo/ conditioner. At first it was not great, I had build up in my hair, and my scalp was still itchy. I have continued to use it, being sure to use the conditioner too. My hair is feeling better, no more build up. The itchy is better too.
This product is toxic free. It might take time to be 100% itch free. I am wondering if switching to a non toxic shampoo/ conditioner might have been the issue with the build up, and my hair feeling weird, sort of gross weird.
If you are reading this and thinking about this product, do not hesitate, try it. Give it some time. I don't know if there is a way to so called detox your hair, but that help if that is a thing.
Anywho, I was not impressed after a few weeks, and just the other day I received a hand written letter. What company does that?!?! So 10 stars to this company. I will continue to use the shampoo and conditioner until it is gone. I will update on my hair and scalp then.
Shampoo Basics & Tips
Understanding Hair Build-Up
Hair build-up refers to the accumulation of products, oils, and debris on the scalp and hair strands, often caused by using too much product, inadequate rinsing, or harsh chemicals. It can make hair feel heavy, greasy, or dull. To prevent it, use clarifying shampoos occasionally, rinse thoroughly, and choose products suited to your hair type. Switching to non-toxic options may initially cause build-up as your hair adjusts, but over time, it can lead to cleaner, healthier hair.
Causes and Solutions for Itchy Scalp
An itchy scalp can result from dryness, dandruff, allergic reactions, product buildup, or environmental factors. Non-toxic shampoos free from sulfates and parabens can reduce irritation by minimizing chemical exposure. Ingredients like tea tree oil or aloe vera may soothe itchiness. If symptoms persist, consult a dermatologist to rule out conditions like psoriasis or eczema. Regular scalp massages and proper hydration can also help alleviate discomfort.
Benefits of Non-Toxic Shampoos
Non-toxic shampoos are formulated without harmful chemicals such as sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. They are gentler on the scalp and hair, reducing the risk of allergies and long-term damage. These products often use natural ingredients that promote hair health, such as essential oils and plant extracts. While transitioning to non-toxic shampoos might cause temporary issues like buildup or itchiness, they can improve hair texture, reduce breakage, and support environmental sustainability over time.
Is Hair Detox Real?
The concept of "hair detox" involves transitioning to cleaner products to remove accumulated toxins from previous hair care routines. While hair itself doesn't have a detox system like the liver, switching to non-toxic shampoos can help reset your scalp's natural balance by reducing chemical buildup. This process may take weeks, as your hair adjusts, leading to initial symptoms like oiliness or itchiness. It's not a scientifically proven detox, but many users report improved hair health with patience and consistent use of gentle products.
The Role of Customer Service in Beauty Brands
Personalized customer service, such as handwritten letters, can significantly enhance brand loyalty and trust. It demonstrates that a company values its customers beyond transactions, fostering a positive emotional connection. In the beauty industry, this can lead to repeat purchases and positive word-of-mouth, influencing overall satisfaction and product perception. Excellent service often complements product quality, making customers feel appreciated and more likely to stick with a brand through initial adjustment periods.
Common Shampoo FAQs and Tips
How often should I wash my hair? It depends on your hair type; for normal hair, 2-3 times a week is typical, while oily hair may require more frequent washing. What ingredients should I avoid? Sulfates, parabens, and silicones can cause irritation or buildup; opt for natural alternatives. How do I choose the right shampoo? Consider factors like hair texture, scalp condition, and specific concerns like dandruff or color treatment. Always patch-test new products and allow time for adjustment when switching formulas. For best results, use a conditioner to maintain moisture and protect against damage.
