Zenagen transformed my fine hair, reducing loss and promoting new growth despite my PCOS challenges in just months.
Dealing with PCOS hair loss, I started Zenagen and saw thickening by month two. After three months, new hairs grew at my hairline, making my hair overall healthier and shinier with consistent every-other-day use.

ZENAGEN Revolve Conditioner (Unisex) | Supports Scalp Health & Appearance of Fuller, Healthier Hair, Developed for Fine & Visibly Thinning Hair, Plant-Based, Color-Safe, Vegan, All Hair Types, 6.75 oz

I have PCOS so I didn't have much hope. My stylist suggested trying Zenagen system for woman and it has made a difference. I have really fine hair and when my hormones aren't in balance I loose quite a bit of hair. After using for 3 months I have so many tiny hairs growing right at my hairline its difficult to get a good part! definitely a happy "problem" to have! I have also seen thickening since around month 2. My hair is overall healthier, shinier and thicker. I use every other day per directions from my stylist. I will continue to use the system!
Shampoo Basics & Tips
What is PCOS and How It Affects Hair?
PCOS, or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, is a common hormonal disorder in women that can cause irregular periods, cysts on the ovaries, and hormonal imbalances. These imbalances often lead to symptoms like hair loss or thinning, as seen in the review. Elevated levels of androgens (male hormones) in PCOS can shrink hair follicles, resulting in finer hair and increased shedding. Understanding PCOS is crucial for managing related hair issues, as it highlights the need for treatments that address hormonal root causes.
Hormonal Imbalance and Hair Loss
Hormonal imbalance, such as that caused by PCOS, disrupts the normal hair growth cycle. Hair growth has phases: anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting). Hormonal fluctuations can push more hairs into the telogen phase, leading to excessive shedding. This explains why the reviewer experienced hair loss when hormones were "not in balance." Products like Zenagen may help by stabilizing the scalp environment or providing nutrients that support follicle health.
Understanding Fine Hair
Fine hair refers to the diameter of individual hair strands being thin, which can make hair appear limp or sparse. It's often genetic but can be exacerbated by factors like hormonal changes or damage. The reviewer mentions having "really fine hair," which is common in PCOS due to hormonal effects on follicle size. Fine hair requires gentle care to avoid breakage, and thickening shampoos can add volume by coating strands or stimulating growth.
Zenagen System for Hair Growth
The Zenagen system is a hair care product line designed to promote hair growth and thickness, often marketed for conditions like hair loss. It may contain ingredients that inhibit DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone linked to hair thinning, or provide vitamins to nourish follicles. In the review, it helped with "thickening" and "new growth," suggesting it targets follicle revitalization. Always consult a stylist or doctor before use, as individual results vary.
Hair Thickening and New Growth
Hair thickening involves increasing the diameter or density of hair strands, while new growth refers to the emergence of new hairs from previously dormant follicles. The reviewer noticed "tiny hairs growing" after three months, indicating activated growth cycles. This can result from improved scalp health, reduced inflammation, or enhanced blood flow. Consistent use of products like Zenagen, combined with a healthy diet, can support these processes.
Use Frequency and Hair Care Routine
Using shampoo "every other day," as directed by the stylist, helps balance cleansing with scalp health. Over-washing can strip natural oils, leading to dryness, while under-washing may cause buildup. For hair loss treatments, frequency is key to maintaining active ingredient efficacy. The reviewer's adherence likely contributed to the positive outcomes, emphasizing the importance of following professional advice for best results.
General Shampoo Knowledge and Common Questions
Shampoos are cleansing agents that remove dirt, oil, and product residue from hair and scalp. They come in various types: clarifying (deep cleaning), moisturizing (for dry hair), and volumizing (for fine hair). Ingredients like sulfates can be harsh, while natural options may be gentler. For hair growth, look for shampoos with biotin, caffeine, or ketoconazole, which may support follicle health.
Common Hair Care Questions
Many people wonder how often to wash hair—it depends on hair type; oily hair may need daily washing, while dry hair benefits from less frequency. Another common question is whether shampoo can really regrow hair: while no product guarantees regrowth, some can improve conditions for growth by reducing fallout or nourishing scalp. Always patch-test new products to avoid reactions, and combine with a healthy lifestyle for optimal hair health.
