I love how Brickell shampoo and conditioner make my hair clean, soft, and healthy without any heaviness.
Using Brickell shampoo for a year and the conditioner recently, I appreciate how they leave my hair feeling clean, soft, and healthy with a refreshing mint and tea tree oil scent, and I absolutely recommend them for daily use.

Brickell Men's Daily Revitalizing Hair Care Routine, Shampoo and Conditioner Set For Men, Mint and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo, Strength and Volume Enhancing Conditioner, Natural and Organic, Gift Set

I’ve used Brickell shampoo for a while now (has it been a year?), but this was the first experience with the conditioner as well. Here are my thoughts.
Shampoo-I love the mint/tea tree oil fragrance. It foams up well and my hair feels clean and healthy afterword. I like buying it in the bigger size (also in the photo) because I like the pump.
Conditioner-this is the first experience with it. After a week, I have decided to add it to my hair regimen. It makes my hair soft and not weighed down. I did find that the packaging was weird for the conditioner. As you squeeze it out, some come out the back of the flip top. Not really a problem, but I will see if I can get a pump size as well so that won’t be an issue. I found it confusing at first because in this package, the conditioner is in the amber colored bottle and the bigger size has amber colored bottle for shampoo.
Overall, highly recommended for both products.
Shampoo Basics & Tips
Benefits of Mint and Tea Tree Oil in Shampoo
Mint oil, derived from the mint plant, provides a cooling sensation and has antimicrobial properties that can help soothe an itchy scalp and reduce irritation. Tea tree oil, extracted from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant, is renowned for its antifungal and antibacterial effects, making it effective in treating dandruff and scalp conditions like seborrheic dermatitis. Together, these natural ingredients in Brickell shampoo not only offer a refreshing aroma but also promote a healthier scalp environment, which can lead to reduced flakiness and improved hair growth over time.
Understanding Shampoo Lather and Cleansing
Shampoo lather is created by surfactants, such as sodium lauryl sulfate or milder alternatives, which reduce surface tension to trap dirt, oil, and impurities. A rich foam, as mentioned in the review, indicates efficient distribution and cleansing, but it doesn't necessarily correlate with better cleaning—some gentle shampoos produce less lather yet are highly effective. Over-lathering can strip natural oils, so it's important to choose products that balance cleansing with moisture retention to maintain hair health.
How Shampoo and Conditioner Maintain Hair Health
Shampoos cleanse the scalp and hair by removing sebum, sweat, and environmental pollutants, while conditioners, containing ingredients like silicones or natural oils, seal the hair cuticle to add moisture, reduce frizz, and prevent breakage. In the review, the conditioner makes hair "soft and not weighed down," which is achieved by using lightweight formulas that avoid heavy buildup. Healthy hair relies on a balanced pH (around 4.5-5.5) and protective ingredients to avoid damage from heat styling or environmental factors.
Common Hair Care Questions and Tips
How often should you shampoo? It depends on hair type: oily hair may need daily washing, while dry or curly hair benefits from less frequent cleansing to preserve natural oils. What causes hair loss? Factors include genetics, stress, nutritional deficiencies, and harsh products—using gentle, sulfate-free shampoos can help minimize shedding. Additionally, always apply conditioner from mid-length to ends to avoid greasiness, and consider weekly deep conditioning treatments for extra nourishment. For those with color-treated hair, opt for color-safe products to maintain vibrancy and prevent fading.
Choosing the Right Hair Products
Select shampoos and conditioners based on your hair needs: for fine hair, lightweight formulas prevent weighing down; for thick or dry hair, richer products provide extra moisture. Look for ingredients like argan oil for hydration or keratin for strength. Avoid products with harsh sulfates if you have sensitive skin, and always patch-test new items to prevent allergic reactions. Remember, consistency in a hair care routine, as highlighted in the review, can lead to long-term improvements in hair texture and overall health.
