FRAMESI Color Lover Moisture Rich Shampoo, Sulfate Free with Quinoa & Aloe Vera, Color Treated Hair, Fresh, 33.81 Fl Oz

This was recommended by my stylist and let me tell you it did wonders to my hair! It says its for colored hair but I use it for my virgin hair. I have thick black hair and suffered from dryness, frizz and super oily hair. Using the shampoo and conditioner brought my hair back to life!!!! It left my hair super soft and shine. Not to mention my scalp is not as oily anymore. I couldn't even last a full 2 days before it looking oily but now I can last up to 3 days and it still looks good! Def a great purchase for the price for the 33.8 oz, I feel like its going to last me more than a year! I recommend using both products together for optimal results.
Shampoo Basics & Tips
What is Shampoo and How Does It Work?
Shampoo is a hair care product designed to cleanse the scalp and hair by removing dirt, oil, and product buildup. It typically contains surfactants that create lather to lift impurities, along with conditioning agents to improve hair texture. Regular use helps maintain hygiene and manage common hair issues like dryness or oiliness.
Understanding Hair Types: Thick, Black, and Virgin Hair
Thick hair refers to a high density of hair strands, which can be more prone to dryness and frizz due to difficulty in distributing natural oils. Black hair, often characterized by its pigment, may require specific care to enhance shine and prevent damage. Virgin hair means untreated hair that hasn't been colored or chemically processed, making it generally healthier but still susceptible to issues like oiliness or environmental damage.
Common Hair Problems: Dryness, Frizz, and Oily Scalp
Dryness occurs when hair lacks moisture, leading to brittleness and breakage; it can be caused by overwashing, harsh products, or environmental factors. Frizz is the result of raised hair cuticles, often due to humidity or damage, making hair look unruly. An oily scalp happens when sebaceous glands produce excess sebum, which can be influenced by genetics, hormones, or improper cleansing. Using a balanced shampoo can help regulate oil production and restore moisture.
Benefits of Using Shampoo and Conditioner Together
Shampoo cleanses the hair and scalp, while conditioner adds moisture, smooths the cuticle, and reduces frizz. When used together, they provide a comprehensive care routine that enhances softness, shine, and manageability. This combination can also protect hair from environmental stressors and extend the time between washes by maintaining a healthy oil balance.
How to Choose the Right Shampoo for Your Hair
Select a shampoo based on your hair type and concerns. For oily hair, look for clarifying formulas with ingredients like tea tree oil; for dry hair, opt for moisturizing agents such as argan oil or shea butter. If you have thick or virgin hair, choose products that offer hydration without weighing hair down. Always consider professional recommendations, as stylists can provide personalized advice based on your specific needs.
Tips for Managing Oily Hair and Extending Time Between Washes
To control oiliness, wash hair with a gentle shampoo every 2-3 days, avoid overwashing which can strip natural oils, and use dry shampoo in between. Incorporate a balanced diet rich in vitamins and reduce stress, as these factors affect oil production. Additionally, avoid touching your hair frequently and use lukewarm water during washes to prevent stimulating excess sebum.
The Importance of Stylist Recommendations in Hair Care
Stylists offer expert advice tailored to your hair type and history, helping you choose products that address specific issues like dryness or oiliness. Their recommendations often consider factors like ingredient quality and compatibility, leading to better results and avoiding trial-and-error purchases. Trusting a professional can save time and money while promoting healthier hair.
Value for Money: Buying Shampoo in Bulk Sizes
Purchasing shampoo in larger sizes, such as 33.8 oz, is cost-effective as it reduces the cost per use and minimizes frequent buying. This is especially beneficial for daily users or families, as it ensures a steady supply and often comes with discounts. However, store products properly in a cool, dry place to maintain efficacy and prevent waste.
Everyday Shampoo Knowledge and Common Questions
Shampoo should be applied to wet hair, massaged into the scalp, and rinsed thoroughly to avoid residue. Common questions include how often to wash hair—typically 2-3 times a week for most types—and whether to switch shampoos regularly to prevent buildup. Ingredients like sulfates can be drying for some, so consider sulfate-free options if you have sensitive scalp. Always patch-test new products to avoid allergic reactions.
