The new bottle was very different than the first. It has new packaging which was indicated on the product page at time of purchase, and a new formula. The new bottle is a totally different shampoo. Absolutly everything is different; color, texture, viscosity, smell, lather, rinsability, and even the way your hair feels as the day goes on. It's a different product all together. I understand things change and I'm not opposed to that. I still like the new shampoo, but am unsure if I will purchase again as it was just an odd experience that almost feels like a bait snd switch. The previous product seemed to be a little higher quality. The new one is more reminicent of a 2.5 star hotel shampoo. If you really loved the old one, you may not like the new one. Better check your local store for stock of the old style. Still, I give it a 4 out of 5. It's shampoo, it smells OK, it gets my hair clean. The old formula would have been a 5.
