This is a review from Amazon.com about product:
Davines Naturaltech NOURISHING Shampoo & Conditioner, Gentle Cleansing Action For Dehydrated, Dry & Brittle Scalp, Adds Softness & Brightness, Hydrates Unsctructured Hair

This is literally the best shampoo I have ever used. I have used a lot of shampoos, honestly I could be in a support group for my shampoo addiction! This make my thin fine hair look and feel amazing! Hate that it is so expensive, but it’s worth it. A little definitely goes a long way!! You really don’t need to use a lot. The only negative I have is the smell. It smells like body odor. However, the smell doesn’t last. Give it a try!
Why This Is Called the Best Shampoo for Thin Fine Hair
One reviewer says, "This is literally the best shampoo I have ever used." For people with thin, fine hair, that statement is powerful. Many shampoos make hair flat, greasy, or dry. Davines shampoo is a sulfate-free, paraben-free foam formula that cleans the scalp and leaves hair feeling silky. Because the product is concentrated, a little works wonders. That is why many users consider it the best shampoo for thin fine hair.
Understanding Thin Hair, Fine Hair, and Damaged Hair
Thin hair means a smaller strand diameter. Fine hair tends to have oily roots and limp ends. Damaged hair often shows breakage and dullness. This shampoo is listed for damaged hair. A gentle sulfate-free, paraben-free shampoo can help prevent extra dryness while cleaning the scalp. Without sulfates, the formula is less likely to strip natural oils. Parabens are preservatives that some people avoid. Together, these ingredients make the product suitable for fragile hair.
What Does Sulfate-Free and Paraben-Free Mean?
Sulfates are strong detergents, such as sodium lauryl sulfate, that help shampoo foam but may remove too much natural oil. For thin fine hair, this can cause frizz, dryness, and breakage. This shampoo avoids sulfates. Parabens are preservatives that stop bacteria from growing in cosmetics. Some people prefer products without parabens because of skin sensitivity. A sulfate-free, paraben-free formula is often a better choice for damaged hair, since it cleans gently while keeping the scalp comfortable.
Why Foam Shampoo Is Ideal
This item is a foam shampoo. Foam spreads quickly and evenly through the hair. You need less product than a liquid shampoo. It is also easier to massage into the scalp. Many customers appreciate the light texture because it does not weigh down thin fine hair. A foam formula can make one bottle last longer, supporting the reviewer comment "a little definitely goes a long way."
Scalp Cleaning and Silky Results
A customer review says this shampoo "works well for cleaning the scalp." A clean scalp is important for healthy hair growth. By removing excess oil and buildup, the product helps roots look fresher. The same review describes the product as fantastic and the hair as silky. Silky hair is soft, smooth, and easy to manage. That is exactly what people want from the best shampoo for thin fine hair.
The Dryness Concern Explained
Customer reviews are mixed about moisture. Some users say it is too drying. This can happen because even sulfate-free shampoos contain cleansing agents that remove oil. Water temperature and hair type also affect moisture. If your ends feel dry, use a good conditioner after washing. For thin fine hair, the extra cleansing can reduce oiliness at the roots.
The Smell: Body Odor or Just Natural?
The enthusiastic reviewer complains that the smell is like body odor. However, the smell does not last. Fragrance is personal; some customers appreciate the scent, while others find it harsh. Natural ingredients can produce earthy notes that some people dislike. Although the scent may seem strong while the product is wet, most people find it disappears after rinsing. This is a small issue for an otherwise excellent shampoo.
Expensive but Worth It
The price is about $40, which is high for a shampoo. The reviewer says, "Hate that it is so expensive, but it's worth it." Because a little works wonders, the cost per wash can be reasonable. A 9.92-ounce bottle might look small, but concentrated foam can last for weeks. Value depends on results, not just the upfront price.
Customer Ratings and Reputation
This Davines shampoo has 4.4 stars from 951 ratings. It also appears around #40,992 in Beauty & Personal Care and in the top 1,129 hair shampoos on Amazon. The reviews mention silky hair, scalp cleansing, a high price, and mixed smell feedback. No shampoo works for everyone, but the strong praise is hard to ignore. For many customers, this remains the best shampoo for thin fine hair.
How to Use It for Best Results
Shake the foam, pump a small amount, and massage it onto a wet scalp. Let it sit briefly, then rinse. Avoid using too much. Follow with conditioner if your hair feels dry. This simple routine gives thin fine hair the cleansing and lightness it needs. Try it, and remember that a little works wonders.
